Not exactly a Bash but it was my birthday.
Last weekend was a wedding anniversary and Birthday celebration. We booked last minute because travelling intrastate is subject to risk these days (I hate you Covid) and at any time we expected to have to cancel but luck was on our side and we made it.

I usually do live reports but did not feel comfortable doing one while our people in Victoria were feeling pain. While still some ways to go yet in Victoria at least there are signs of improvement.

Last few years of Birthdays, thanks to FB memories have been Hayman Island (os trip cancelled due to DVT), Paris, Alaska, SA lunch, and then this year. Barossa.

Next year - we will be in UK come what may, to celebrate our younger sons wedding which will take place legally in a month’s time in the UK 😥 and which we will be zooming. 😪

Anyways, we set off after dropping off the cat. We now only live 50 minutes from the Barossa thanks to our western location and the brilliant new motorway that is exceptional and safe.

Staying 2 nights only at the Barossa Shiraz Estate in The Coachhouse and which was a ‘freebie’ due to a Luxury Estates cancelled Bali trip last year.

First signs along the way.

We had booked for lunch and even though we left at 11 we were still far too early so we had a coffee and stroll around Jacobs Creek area. Lovely sunny morning. So far.

Cute cafe.

So many of these places will be familiar to those who’ve enjoyed the Buzz trips.

During lunch there was a large thunderstorm. And the power went out. Made no difference to us - we had our food and the fire was warm.
After lunch we went for a walk. Watching the cold front roll in.
