Big Devaluation for Qantas Rewards on Emirates First Class from February 18.

I noticed today that from end February you can only book Emirates First rewards if you are Silver tier. Even if you already have a booking in place.
Well..I do have a booking in place which Im so excited about.
This new rule stinks imo
Has nothing to do with Qantas and brings it in line with Emirates' own policy. Hardly stinks, rewards those who fly.

I agree. Given the perpetual play now for travel ‘hackers’ and bloggers to highlight access to premium reward flights within a moment of inventory being released, I’d very much welcome frequent flyer (incl. partner) status as a baseline requirement to access ANY premium reward seats, including on QFF and other carriers. I’m sure the seats would still be snapped up, or they could choose to open them up to all members as the flight dates draw nearer, if not
