I just bid and won the 4 star Westin Jersey City for 15 nights for US$85 a night and paid with my Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard, so I guess they're happy to take money from anyone. I know some cards dont' work, but this Mastercard always does.

As far as I am aware Priceline does not accept Australian issued credit cards with an Australian address. Don't know how you would go using an Australian issued credit card with a US address....

I've bought flights on priceline using an AU credit card, but did I put my actual suburb then put 90210 as the postcode. Worked fine :) YMMV.

I too, have used my Australian credit card to bid on Priceline, registered my usual address and just added a '0' to my postcode. It worked perfectly and I got some really good deals.

I was in vegas for 4 nights (stayed at THEhotel at mandalay bay - AWESOME pools!) and we found our booking at vegas-hotels-online dot com

We got a whole bunch of vouchers thrown in and a few other things

Beware of the timeshare salespeople!

Welcome to AFF Matt P - but timeshare people are the last of the worries when in Vegas; try avoiding those guys/gals trying to give you passes to adult services, clubs, for hire etc

Hi there,
I realize that you have long since gone to vegas. I would recommend Treasure Island. I didn't stay at the MGM but had a really bad experience at there buffet. We were down for our friends wedding and went to the MGM buffet at something like $50 a person. 5 of us got food poisoning. The bride spent a week in the hospital with beaver fever (sickness from fecal contamination) The brides father went back the next day (when we were all sick) and complained. The manager of the restaurant basically said we couldn't prove it and sent him on his way. We had friends that stayed in Treasure Island and LOVED it.

Cheers

I understand - worth watching out for. However, we stayed at the MGM, ate at the buffet every day and never had any trouble (stayed away from fish and anything that wasn't very fresh, or very hot and cooked in front of us, like to-order omelettes, for example).

No troubles - great deal.

There was a follow up story about this being the Noro Virus rather than being a bout of food poisoning. Guess it's rather difficult to prove it's food when you're surrounded by tens / hundreds of other guests all giving off their own bacteria as you're stood next to them.
