Best use of QFF points ?

From what I read, I think you are very keen on the 140K. Not so simple anymore??

There used to be a simple answer to using QFF points and I was looking forward to all the travel.

The answer is not so simple anymore....

I had wondered about that also.
The OW Award has not changed. The fees and charges were always very substantial on a Y redemption.

Yes I thought a Oneworld award was great value.

I cannot get too excited about booking a return in business SYD-BKK for 120,000 QFF points and ~$600 in taxes.

Only recently. When I booked in 2007 taxes were ~AUD1,000 but I almost maxed out the sectors. When I booked in 2009 for dad and I taxes were ~AUD1,100 per person.

Now taxes and fuel surcharges for that same itinerary would be close to AUD2,000.
