Hoping the brains trust can help me. I have a large holding of Kris flyer points (close to a million) and need to be in Rome late August coming back first week in November. Ideally Aug 23rd to Sept 6th but someflexibility.

I'm based in Brisbane and am part of a team representing Australia at a world championship event - travel is sadly self funded as its a niche sport.

Happy to leave from any east coast airport where I can best use points to secure a business class seat as I need lots of luggage allowance.

I am Virgin Platinum if that helps.

Singapore airlines show no availability going out - even economy is waitlisted.

With star alliance airlines, how can I use Krys flyer points? Singapore's own website shows no availability with star alliance or codeshare

Any help appreciated.

Hi BB1

At this late point, it will be a challenge but can be done. At a quick look, there are some options into London. You would have to book a separate flight from Lond one to Rome. If you have some Qantas points, they may be of help too.

If you aren’t in a rush to get there, break your search into separate flights. It will cost more points, but you will get many more flight choices. Howevery, being on separate tickets, I’d be stopping a night at each connection point.
