I’ve ordered SIM cards online from SIM Corner prior to departure many times over a number of years. They provide IMHO top quality brand name SIM cards that are compatible throughout Europe at a good price mailed to you at home. Never had a problem with them.

I’m currently in Europe on holiday with an O2 SIM card in my phone with 5000 texts, 5000 minutes and 20GB to use In a month. It cost me AUD80. Works a treat. Roams all over Europe.

The real benefit from my perspective is that I have the SIM card before I leave and I don’t have the hassle of organizing something when I arrive, which can be a complete pain.

SIM Corner are based in Australia. SimCorner | Travel Sim Cards |USA, Europe, UK, NZ & Asia | SimCorner Australia

Awesome thanks

I purchased 2 SIM cards from SIM Corner earlier this year. One was faulty and a refund issued without question on our return to Oz.
However, because of the failure I had to buy another SIM (we were in Venice) and purchased one from Vodafone. Much cheaper, more data, inserted and activated by the store BUT it didn't work in Switzerland whereas my Aussie obtained one did.
I suspect it is something to do with EU and non EU countries.

Yea correct if you don't have a UK bank card then you can't top up using 3's website. The link above is a supplier of top-ups to non-UK residents and yes they do charge a fee when buying a top-up (I think £1.50). Still the cheapest option for roaming around Europe, especially if you are not in the UK to buy a top-up and are gone for over a month.

I've used sim corner and sims direct for all my travel and they have both been very good. If you're buying more than one, one of them have a multi card discount.
