Hi all, I have 4pax family trip to Singapore on Sunday. Seats are all classic awards. I would like to know if there are any preferred seats at the back end from rows 46. Or seats to avoid. I guess I will pay $25 for each preferred seat. 1 pax is 14.9 years old so just under age for exit rows. Thoughts anyone??? Cheers and thanks M

Others may have other thoughts but I'd personally not worry too much about pre-selecting seats and save myself $100. If exit rows are out of the question then most of the seats are pretty much the same. You will more than likely be seated together anyway. I would however suggest checking in online 24 hours before the flight & selecting seats for free.

I would disagree given its the start of school holidays, a quick check of flight stats shows it to be reasonably busy :

Fare Classes: J/9 C/9 D/7 I/5 U/0 W/7 R/2 T/0 Z/0 Y/9 B/9 H/9 K/9 M/9 L/9 V/3 S/0 N/0 Q/0 O/0 G/0 X/9 E/0

Grabbing two rows of two at the back would be the go IMHO

Hi markis10, so are you suggesting say, 71D 71E and 72D 72E.... That's about as far back as you get. Is this what you mean and therefore hope for vacant s next to our seats?

I concur with M. Two rows of 2 at the back. Though the window seat is a bit of a distance from the wall of the airplane so the usual position of a window leaner is not possible.

And the other reason i like it is that I can wait until everyone gets off the plane while I leisurely get my stuff and deplane. Not many people behind me anxiously hoping that I will deplane quicker. Also you its easier to use the loos as you are close by. Its a real pain when you are far away, the green light goes on and you rush to the loos only to find someone closer beat you to it. If you cant find the seats try again at about 2-3 days prior to takeoff.

Not quite... I think he means to try and get two lots of the pairs of seats at the back. Notice how from row 69 onwards there are only two seats by the windows not three? So if you can get, say, 69J/K and 70J/K you will all be seated together and you'll each get a window or aisle seat and not have to sit next to anyone else, if that makes sense.

Got it, yes that makes sense. so I will look at 71 J&K and 72 J&K.... So I am better to book these early and pay $25 as opposed to checking in 24 hrs before and hoping they are still available?

Thats it, with 70 through to 72 windows having great legroom.

Many thanks all, you are legends at this stuff...on my way now to book...Cheers and a big thanks. M
