Best QF Credit Card

Hello All,

I have never really bothered with point credit cards but now I thought it would be nice to build up a nice points balance. Which is the best card to get?

For me it is the QF Ultimate Amex Card.....but it is currently under review. It pays 1.5 points per $ spent uncapped and 2.5 points per $ spent on QF.

If you are after a Visa card then the citibank business gold at 1.25 points per $ spent is the way to go.

edit: You may wish to consider the Amex Plat Charge card but it it is debatable whether it is worth the fee. It is changing at the moment and from October will offer 2 points per $ on travel, 3 points per $ on certain restaurants, 2 points per $ on
foreign currency transactions, but only 0.5 points on utilities and tax. 1 on everything else. (Probably worth a double check I got everything right there!!)

edit2: The plat charge card is also capped.

I wasnt aware the Amex Platinum card was capped. Have been using one for years earning between 10,000 to 15,000 pts per month and tranferring most of the pts to my QFF account. I recently changed my Citibank Platinum card back to a gold which is uncapped (AFAIK). Also considering dropping the ANZ Platinum FF VISA as it too, is capped for a monthly spend.

I guess it all depends upon how much you spend on a card as to whether the annual fee is worth it. I find all the benefits offered by AMEX justify the annual fee incl insurance and acceptance into other programs at premium membership levels such as SPG and Marco Polo etc. I have been offered the Centurion card a few times but that annual fee is certainly too hard to justify.

Interested to hear of others experiences with different cards.

From October 1st 2012 once you get to 300,000 your earning rate is capped to 0.5 points per $ (Excluding all of the other setups.

Anz has an uncapped Amex and Visa combination:

If you spend greater than $200k per year you run into Citi Business Visa points capping so you would then do a Citi Select QF card at a point a dollar. This is just an add on to Tony Hancock's post.
