Hi all,

My parents are looking to fly from Melbourne to Bangkok around Mid-June to Mid July 2023. Any advice on the best place to look for buying points and redeeming for business class? Could be direct with Thai Airways or others including one stopover.

I checked Aeroplan which has 20% off for 100k+ points at the moment but couldn't see any availability.

Thanks!

Any reason you wouldn't just buy them a JQ Business seat? Whilst it's basically a Y+ seat, it's going to be a lot easier than trying to find points and then redeem two seats on a very busy route.

Honestly didn't look into JQ. If we couldn't find anything we would probably just try to book Economy on Thai or Singapore Airlines.

Air Canada has the best award availability and points pricing (when on sale) with TG, IMHO.
