One of folks is heading through Tokyo in a week or so and will have access to OW J lounges (SG and flying J). Wondering which lounge I should recommend they visit while there?

Depends on carrier and whether they are travelling from satellite terminal. I personally always go with the lounge of the primary carrier at the airport - so in this case JL. The Admiral's Club is actually pretty good. I wouldnt try the CX lounge. The QF lounge in the satellite terminal is in my opinion carp - I have seen people sitting on the floor it is so small.

Yeah, I was just looking into that. They are travelling on BA to LHR, so will be departing from T2. I think it will either be the Sakura Lounge or apparently JAL & AA have opened a new joint lounge in T2 as of April.

It takes very little time/effort to transit between the main and satellite terminals, so don't be put off by location of departure gate and lounge. Just allow an extra 10 mins or so between the terminals. Admirals Club is nice and probably better than QF lounge - though QF lounge does have the automatic beer poorer! I have not used the JAL J Lounge (only their F Lounge) so can't comment on that one.

All the JL lounges in Japan, that I have been in, have the auto beer pourer.

Cannot understand why somebody has not brought this fantastic idea to Australia?

>JAL F lounge?

Yes.

>Do they have massages?

Yes. Enjoyable 15 mins, however not as good as QF SYD F's.

Show up early since the massage bookings are filled up quickly (at least in the morning). If you can't get the human massage, try their massage chair. Not so bad, IMO.
