I have used Currency Fair who have v good rates. Up till Easter they have a bonus with a referral. EU 40 I think it is.

Re timing, it will depend when during the financial COB week. It takes a bit of time first up to ensure your credentials. So, allow a few days in the first instance, esp over eg Easter.
