What is the best multi country SIM card for Europe phone and text??

Hi there
I will be in Europe for 6 weeks over summer. Travelling in France, Germany, Belgium and in transit through Heathrow. Don't want to buy local SIMS in each country and keep changing my phone number. so..... I,m looking for an international prepaid SIM that can be recharged using an Aussie credit card and that provides cheapest talk and text in Europe so I can phone hotels and contact fellow travellers if we get separated. Data would be good also, but not essential as I plan to use wifi for internet. I have an iPhone.

Have been googling and there are so many options and varied reviews that I'm now feeling totally confused. Any suggestions on which are the best options would be very much appreciated.

Look into airbalticcard.com and mobipassport.com.au (cheap rates for calls, sms and data, but both use "callback"). Optus AU prepaid is $1/min to receive and send calls and 50c for SMS. Data is 50c/MB. Might work out OK for light usage as you describe.

I haven't used it yet myself but will be doing so next trip to France:

We spend most of our time in France and a little elsewhere in Europe.

Have a look at the costs, as the cost of using it when in other European countries is very reasonable and then you can keep the same number whole trip. Note the support and sales is all in English which is a major advantage!
