I am wondering whether we need a restaurant guide for major cities (one city/country per thread) and make them sticky in some subforum.
So people can recommend places for people to go with a rough $ amount pp.
Worth a suggestion to Admin?
Something simple like:
Madam Fang, Melbourne, Fusion, $60 pp + booze - try the quail
Nothing more detailed than that (KISS)

This masterchef obsession has gone too far. The other day, while visiting my mother, who has prepared pretty much meat and three-veg for my Dad for 55 years, said: "Sit down for dinner, I'm plating up some steak on a puddle of mashed sweet potato."
Hehe, my wife "plates up" now too.
Sadly I don't think she'd be winning any celebrity chef cookoffs .... (I hope she never reads this)![]()
Good idea with the MODS removing every thread that goes OT

I would like to see it as a heavily modded subforum so that it was easy to find specific information rather than some bloated morass of information.
I will PM Admin.
Had venison at The Bunker in Queenstown last night. Perfect food, service and terrific wine list.
They always do!Hehe, my wife "plates up" now too.

There's also a lovely chocolate / sweet shop that serves very decent coffee located not far from the harbour. Goodness help me I can't remember the name of it now, but I do remember that customers could surf the net there, too.
