Travelling out of LHR terminal 3 tomorrow on QF and was wondering what the best lounge might be as a QF WP?

Tried searching with no luck but happy to be directed to a relevant thread of which I am sure there is one. I found one for almost every other port!

There are lots of threads posts on this .
IMO the best lounge is still the BA F Lounge

T3 is comfortable (as of AUG 2014). Its no QF Flounge. More like a QF Domestic Business lounge.

Enjoy

BA still use T3. F lounge was very comfortable in September last year.

Indeed they do, a few EU destinations including BUD and WAW. No routes with F so the lounge is a bit watered down now with the closure of the Elemis Spa.
Still a relatively pleasant place to be with a decent alcohol selection and acceptable food.

Had my most recent visit there last week :)

Thanks everyone. Most important thing for Mrs Sequel is the champagne selection, hope they haven't watered that down!

They had Taittinger Prelude and Rosé on offer last week. If you are very lucky you might get some LPGS. It's the standard drop in the CCR but sometimes makes an appearance outside there.

In the interests of science I checked out them all the last time I went through T3. The BA lounge is still the best, although the food has really deteriorated and is not of F standard. On my last trip through, 3 weeks ago, the hot meals were slop/fried unhealthy, and I ended up making a sandwich from the deli selection.
Best tactic is to visit the Cathay lounge for a feed (limited variety, but very high standard) then move on to BA for the champagne and red wine which is usually excellent.

I strongly prefer the T3 EK lounge; then again, I'm all about the food, not the bubbly :) I was really amazed how poor the food was in the BA lounge on my two visits in July and early August.

The EK lounge food was outstanding. Lounge was very busy but the food made up for it. Did you get the impression I liked the food?

I actually agree with you there. Sadly unless the OP is CL or flying QF F the EK lounge is not an option AFAIK

I'd forgotten about that, thanks for the reminder. One more reason (as if the APD wasn't enough) to avoid flying out of T3 to Oz, unless in F.

or, come home BA F and do a T5 lounge run starting with the CCR.
