I really do enjoy a nice luxury hotel. I thought it would be great to hear from everyone what is the best hotel that you have stayed in?

This could be just high end luxury or it could also be bang for your buck quality. There could be many factors that could influence this from the quality of the property, level of service, uniqueness of the destination or many other factors.

- For me we stayed at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort
The location was fantastic but the quality and level of service was amazing. We enjoyed club access which was on another level.

I would be interested to hear other people's thought and experiences...

I stayed there last December, and honestly, even though the weather was a bit of a letdown, the staff were absolutely incredible. I mean, they literally gave me a 6 PM checkout! I've never had a hotel do that for me before. And seriously, the buffet breakfast? It's hands down the best I've ever had at any hotel, period.
But personally, Tokoriki Island Resort just completely takes the crown for me. The food was next-level amazing, and it had that perfectly chilled-out Fiji vibe with staff who were super nice. Since it’s small and adults-only, it felt really intimate. I genuinely loved every single second of my stay there.

Mt Mulligan Lodge (few hundred km west of Cairns) . Helicopter flew in from Cairns Airport. Got it on a post Covid deal, price is many times that now. Met some new friends there which was a plus. One of those luxury outback resorts you could say. Probably a standout experience in our life to date.

Value for money stays. We did the Pod 39 in NYC, funky new hotel in an old brick building. Loved the bar on the roof.

Shore Hotel in Santa Monica was another one we like. We often crash here on a last day or two of a US trip before coming back. We find it comfortable.

I've splurged on a few luxury Hotels but ONLY for the view/location. Food is never a consideration.
Normally more of an Ibis/Mercure bloke...

I like Marina Bay Sands with high floor City view.
Hilton Waikiki Rainbow Tower Diamond Head view.
Anything on the Vegas Strip with a view

I have lucked out sometimes and got "free" decent views without paying stupid money as well.
Anything with a view of something is good.

Was at Mt Mulligan myself last week, for a day trip only....no way I'm paying $1700 to camp where I used to camp for free.

Park Hyatt Melbourne - first class decor, modern and extremely clean suites, breakfast buffet very generous in food offerings.
Of course the $$ matches 😉

Locally, my best experience has been at Mount Lofty in Adelaide Hills. The guided tour is fantastic and service outstanding. The restaurant is very good though pricey

The best place I ever stayed is now known as Villa Kenari in Lombok.
Full photos there.
Picture of infinity pool is my avatar.
The view is beaches, mountains and jungle and you could think you were the only person on the planet.
We were told we had four full time staff to look after us and were a bit embarrassed by that.
Turns out there were thirteen!
We had four women in the kitchen cooking all our meals.
There were gardeners and security and a driver and a bunch of others.
There was even one guy every day clipping the grass with shears!
One of the most beautiful spots on the planet.

Have also squeezed in a night at Burj Al Arab.
Worth the money, probably not but one of those bucket list life experiences.

Im not a fan of buffets in general, but the breaky buffet at the Fullerton in Singapore is next level.

The infinity pool and the view here look spectacular!

Yes the buffet was amazing!

Haven't stayed at Tokoriki Island Resort but I have heard good things. Will have to check it out but we would need to leave our kids behind

Love a good buffet breakfast

We also stayed at Filotera Suites in Santorini.

Views were amazing in family run resort. The owner even took us and pick us up from our dinner.

Breakfast served outside your room with a view is something I will never forget.

We were there for our honeymoon but found it a special place to stay

The Four Seasons Sayan (Ubud, Bali). Just phenomenal service all round. Perfect place to unwind and barely saw other guests.

Stayed at the Raffles several times but never the Capella so can’t compare.
Sounds like one I have to check out one day perhaps

Go on....be a team player :)

Tough Question…...so many over so many years...
I guess Explora Patagonia for the stunning location , But Le Chateau Frontignac in Quebec was nice because it was Christmas Eve , it was 20 below and we finally had a bedroom to ourselves ( we were travelling with our kids)…I dunno…..
