:?: What is the best frequent flyer program to collect the points from flying Alitalia (NRT to FCO J class)? I understand that as well as any of the SkyTeam FFPs, others such as Etihad Guest could be used. I expect to hardly fly SkyTeam airlines and would mainly redeem points for domestic Australian, domestic New Zealand, or TransTasman flights, avoiding Qantas where-ever possible. Suggestions welcome Thanks,

Alitalia is a QFF Frequent Flyer Partner, so you can earn points (not Status Credits). I know you have stated you avoid QF, but out of the two choices domestically, it seems that QF is the one that has the direct link.

I am not sure of any other links.

I am the highest tier possible with Alitalia's program and actually leave all my points with them for my travel, lounge access and other stuff around Europe. You can also redeem points flights direct with QF via Alitalia which is probably your best option.

Don't use QF to give miles to directly, some flights will not gain any points whatsoever if you use that option.
