Hi guys,

I thought this thread might be useful because even though JASA's with points provide probably the best value out there (at least in Aus) for earning SCs, there are those of us who don't have points or are saving points for another trip.

So, what are the best domestic cash status credit runs that people know of ?

The best I've found so far is MEL-BNE-DRW-BNE-MEL $1881 for 280 SCs which works out to be $6.72/SC.

And it is doable in a day. Arrive 13:10 and leave DRW 13:55. I'd imagine its the same plane even ?

So any other nice SCs ? Is $6.72 pretty good value for Aus standards ?

Cash pricing will vary on a regular basis, and for $1881 its not hard to get over 100000 points which will take you a lot further as a JASA than just MEL-DRW via BNE.

Hi Markis,

Thanks for your response.
What did you mean by with $1881 you can get >100k points ?
Can you elaborate please ?

Coz like I'd wanna do that haha.

I have an inkling (though only an inkling) that there are QF paid runs summarised in the elusive Virgin spreadsheet described here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ity/aff-status-runs-spreadsheet-48190-10.html

The Virgin crowd on AFF have a shared peer spreadsheet going in which everyone pitches in and updates the sheet on a regular basis. It's my understanding that there are many paid status runs on there (but I don't have access)

I doubt that the elusive spreadsheet has any significant insights into paid QF runs (although I do not have access either). Simple rules apply - look for multi-stop flights which are not attractive to business travellers eg. SYD-BNE-TSV, CBR-SYD-HBT
