We are travelling CNS/HK/CNS with the return flight via Brisbane, what would the best CX Business Class seats be?.

My sister and her husband do the BNE/HKG/BNE run monthly, and swear by 14D and 14G. I assume that the service ex-CNS uses the same 2-class configuration.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The problem I have with seat guru is that (from what I have found anyway) is that it just says that "this seat is near the galley and some people dont like it". It doesnt then give an indication of what seat to go for.

Although I like CX service and food I did find their seats felt a little small. The same for F seats. ALthough the pitch is meant to be the same it just didnt feel it :(

The other thing to remember is that the HKG/BNE/CNS/HKG and HKG/CNS/BNE/HKG service is operated using the regional business class configuration, meaning that you won't get their long haul seats and AVOD.

In the past we have flown out of Sydney and Melbourne to snag their longhaul service, though that is a long detour from CNS.

We've already booked using FF points and as its CX can't change it anyway without a penalty. We are going direct from CNS to HK then return to CNS thru Brisbane as they were the only flights available.

Yes thru Mel. is a long way around, anyway its only about 7 or 8 hour flight.

You should have a comfortable flight as the loads in J out of BNE and CNS on CX have been very light so along with their great customer service it means more staff per passenger.

Is the business class on the HKG-PER flight considered a regional class or long haul?

Chevalier,

unfortunately it is the regional configuration. The best way to tell is go to the CX website and look at their schedule.

If the aircraft type says 330 it is regional, if it says 333 then long haul.

I have done this run several times, last time mid december 06 and agree with the previous comments about the regional class seats. The food and service are great in fact very very grate, but if the seats are cra## the service can ot makeup. I have done 14 and 16G and H. These are just OK. Having said that, I will not fly CX again because of the seats. CX are replacing seats in early 06 so am not sure of the outcome. I go BNE to FCO regulary in bisiness cls. Any tips on the best seats for this route to get oneworld points
