Hi everyone 👋

I’m planning a weekend trip to Sydney and I’d like to stay at an Accor property.

Looking for recommendations on:

  • Best Accor hotel in Sydney for a couple / relaxed weekend
  • Good location (easy for CBD + sightseeing + food)
  • Nice rooms / clean property / good service
  • Bonus if it has a good breakfast or harbour view
Which Accor hotel would you personally recommend in Sydney and why?

Thanks in advance 😊

The Sofitel Darling Harbour would have to be high on the list. Rooms are spacious and the one I was in had a view of the end of Darling Harbour to the left and an interesting freeway and water view to the right. The outdoor pool is a good spot to view Friday night fireworks, too. (Friday night IIRC.) Good restaurant, but of course there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance all around the harbour. Or the old hotel for a pub meal. The light rail is opposite the front door of the Sofitel for a quick ride to Circular Quay, but it is a nice stroll too, especially if you stop for dinner in China Town along the way. You can walk anywhere from there, including up to the Lord Nelson to enjoy a drink and/or lunch on the street.

More recently I stayed at the Novotel Darling Harbour, with a wonderful view, but I think that one is currently undergoing renovation.

I would say the two Quay properties would get my vote, Pullman Quay grand and Quay west

Yes, I would have thought they're better from a location perspective. Literally "Dress Circle" on the harbour.

I would say sofitel dh as well. Stayed there 2 weeks ago. Checks all your boxes. Loved the view and the infinity pool. Service was exceptional also.

Pullman Quay for the views or Sofitel DH for the overall experience. We get great upgrades at the Sofitel whereas the Pullman is a bit stingier IMO.
