Basically impossible to book partner rewards flights at release

Have tried several days in a row booking partner rewards seats at time of release, via the multi city search, as regular search doesn't allow you to select them. Every day the site has failed after entering passenger details. Does anyone have insights on this error? Have been getting to the booking within second of it being released so I don't think it's a case of someone else booking, seems to be the website. Honestly booking classic rewards is becoming a nightmare to secure seats.

There's a lengthy thread on here about Qantas IT gripes. You might need to call up to book. They should waive the booking fee given the website's falling over.

Hi all,

some of you will "know" me, others not, but I have a bit of a reputation of being a Qantas fan.

I absolutely love Qantas, yet they have many failings. Unlike others that have jumped ship, I choose to fight for this airline. Not by singing praises where undue, but rather by making a hoo-hah about things that even to me, simply stink. In the forlorn hope that someone, somewhere, in Qantas may hear these and change something.
