Barcelona Cruise Arrival

Looking for advice from you experts. We disembark a Viking ocean cruise early in the morning on the 8th of December this year. Our flight home leaves at around 8.30pm from Barcelona airport. We are looking for a tour/transfer company that will pick us up at the cruise terminal, take us on a little tour and then drop us at the airport. I'm guessing that the ship will arrive around 7am and we can probably stay on the ship until around 10am. Any suggestions for a local tour/transfer company. Thanks in advance.

Can't help with any specifics, sorry, but I've found Lonely Planet tour company recommendations to be good. Have used them several times.

Viking will have you off by 9.30 as last call. Out of the room by 8am. They often have excursions with a drop off at the airport. But if not, then just google the relevant airport drop off excursion from Barcelona kind of search and likely Viator will pop up.

You will love the Viking ship. We've been on several.

Viking will have you off by 9.30 as last call. They often have excursions with a drop off at the airport. But if not, then just google the relevant airport drop off excursion from Barcelona kind of search and likely Viator will pop up.

thanks Pushka, we are looking forward to the cruise having had three Viking ocean cruises cancelled during covid! I have messaged a local tour/transfer company and await a response. The hotel at Barcelona airport seems like a good option too. We will check out Viator as well. It's too late to book a Viking extension and we didn't want their transfer as they would dump us at the airport far too early.

Yes, we've done a day room at an airport hotel too. You have to pack most of your stuff as luggage the night before and leave it in the corridor and won't get it back until after disembarkation at the port. Which means you've got your bathroom bag and pjs etc in hand luggage. So getting out of holiday clothes, and into travel clothes, repacking the luggage for flights and a swim/shower is also a good thing to do.

The last night and early morning of the cruise is the least enjoyable part. It's just messy. And depressing to be leaving.

Yes, we've done a day room at an airport hotel too. I've never received a birthday email. Guess Karine doesn't know me.
If you don't have a silver spirits package, at lunch and dinner the crew are very good at topping up just before you leave the dining room.
