Also, I read there was a lounge for everyone, or did that close. Any other suggestions or heads up?

Not sure you'd have much choice on where to credit a PG flight number. I know they partner with CX and possibly Etihad but think you can only credit flights from those carriers to FlyerBonus.

There is a basic lounge available to anyone who is a FlyerBonus member. That membership also gives you 30kg luggage allowance.

The food on board is not too bad.

Thanks for that info. Not very promising.

You can credit to Etihad - but unless you have another big source of points, I wouldn't bother, find somewhere else instead. They have a very short life, I think 2 years to expiry, and activity doesn't extend the life of their points.

You can certainly credit to Etihad.

There is a PG lounge at Bangkok airport which is open to all PG PAX - not just members of FlyerBonus or anything else.
This lounge has basic snacks and hot and cold beverages, and free wifi.
It is simple but more comfortable than the gate lounges.
They also have a business lounge next door. I haven't flown business with them (they don't have J on BKK-HKT or HKT-HDY) so I haven't been inside.
Maybe FlyerBonus membership gives access to that lounge?

At other airports they often have something short of a lounge.
At Hat Yai for example they have a dedicated corner of the departure lounge with dedicated seating and some snacks and beverages.
I don't think there was wifi.
At coughet they only have a courtesy table in the middle of the main departure lounge area with very basic snacks and beverages.
No dedicated seating, no wifi. And the departure lounge at coughet is pretty horrid.

A bit of feedback from yesterday's flight BKK - REP from a relo:

"Flight was 1 hour late, but very quick once it took off, but lots of fun - serving speedy dinner (no choice, but metal cutlery), giving out cold hand towels and free SIM cards etc. The attendants walked up and down almost the entire flight (including most of landing) doing many busy activities.

The visa on arrival was straightforward, took our passport and paperwork then held up the passport to examine and check against our faces and asked us 'this you?' to check".

Also, from their dawn visit to Angkor Wat: "Angkor Wat (built in 1300s). Had great tour guide who took us away from the crowds to see lovely sun coming up behind the temple. Was busy even pre-dawn, apparently averages 13,000 people each day.

We stood in the central temple stone, the 'centre of the universe' (always knew we were the centre of the universe, now it is proven!)

There was a Hindu carving explaining solar and lunar eclipses, about how a demon ate the gods of the sun and the moon, but the demon's body was cut off so they come out through the demon's neck after being swallowed".

A bit late to the party, but you can definitely credit to CX. (I was crediting to FB, but since CX became a "partner" with PG, I've changed.)
Lounge access is available to all - can be extremely busy at certain times, but if you can grab a seat has ample recharging stations for your gizmos.

HTH.
