Hey,

I noticed if using qff points for Bali, it's comparable to the price of paying for a flight.

28,000pts + $210 taxes.

Flights are $550.

The reward seats, say baggage included is that correct or not because that would be a saving of $140.

Thanks

Your post is a little lacking in detail but I'm going to assume you're in South Australia (based on previous posts).

Whilst Jetstar might be $550 return to Bali this is a saver only fare that includes nothing other than a 7kg carry on bag.

Booking Jetstar flights using Qantas points come with two major advantages, the first is baggage - all JQ/3K flights booked using Qantas points include 20kg checked baggage (note meals/seat selection is NOT included).

The second reason why booking Jetstar flights with Qantas points can be useful is the flexibility. Ignoring the generous covid policy, during usual operations it's just 6000 points to cancel (per person) or 5000 points to change.

Thank you for the response.

That's exactly what I was asking, obviously it's $550 + $140 for baggage return.

I just wanted to confirm that using points comes with the bonus baggage included!

It says 0 points the cancellation.

Appreciate all the information

Just an FYI baggage isn't $140 round trip. Yes on the first screen you can add a bundle +$140 round trip for plus or +$240 round trip for the max fare.

but if you select a starter fare the next screen gives you an option to select baggage with 20kg (the amount included with a QF points ticket) only $80 round trip ($40 per direction).

The plus bundle does come with some added benefits such as the ability to select a standard seat ($10 per flight for a standard seat), an included meal (Meal options range from $15) and the ability to earn qantas points (3900 qantas points per flight).
