Bali, Britain, Spain & Safari

Can't remember exact details but when we applied for IDL online, we had the option to have faster turnaround for an extra fee (think 15 min v 2h)

Never knew you could do it online!

As I said I had grand plans to drive to various places. In the end though we were just happy to be all together eating great food. Malaga is not like the typical Costa holiday destinations with full English brekkies and the Premier League on screens im every bar. People pretty smart and laid back. Lots of families eating out particularly on Easter weekend so had some waits if bookings

Can recommend casamigos playa, hamacos el playa and el tintero. The latter is a fabulous expdroence. There is no menu, just waiters bringing round dishes and coughtails. If you fancy something, yoi hail them and then at the end they count the plates. Its a buzzy fun place

Havent checked the link but apparently Godon Ramsey visited

Went into central Malaga on the Thursday.

AFter a very stressful exlerience with an 18-point turn exiting a lical supermaket with the minibus the day before, I'd scoped out thr biggest carparks.

But they were closed, traffic was crazy, google sent us down blind alleys, so parked a little further away. Mrsandye had had the bright idea of hiring a wheelchair for mumandye which was useful for the ling walk.

Seemed to be some event going on with heraldic red flags everywhere. Sat next to Picasso, did the classic mistake of going to the restaurant with the best views, then discovered it was the Easter paradd complete with KKK-Style hats (though predates klan by several centuries) It was heaving, we hadnt prebooked close seats in the stands and some of the family arent great at waiting around, so only saw a bit

Mstrandye1's+1 has Spanish heritage so we had a more fluent time from then on. The youngsters did Australia/England proud on the beach football field (though their Spamish opponents were a smidge younger) then had a dip in the sea (a bit chilly in April. Beach was ok but not Aussie quality.

Another fun late night of games and laughter

There was a sign nearby that we had spent an unusually long time in one place. (for this trip)

Had grand plans of a quick trip into central Amsterdam (never been out of airport) but it wasnt early and we were pretty tired.
Settled in at Holiday Inn Express Schiphol (1 award, one cash room).
It did the job

Qf Classic award 18k QF + EUR 249 pp
Pax:mr&mrsandye, mstrsandye3&4

AMS pretty busy on Easter Sunday. The taxi driver took us to a side entrance to avoid the queue of cars at drop-off

Have a snazzy automatic bag drop that befuddled a lot of pax. The mstrsandye thought that the ground crew were the prettiest they'd seen

The PP lounge is prioritised for Oneworld status holders so didn't get in

Flight was reasonably solid but nothing fancy

The cheese and tomato pastry tasted much better than it looked
