I am flying from USA to Brazil on gol airlines, then to Buenos Aires on aerolines. I just checked in and got told I would need to collect my bag in Rio and check it in again which means I need to go through customs. The booking is on the same eticket ticket which I thought avoided these problems. Can someone please tell me if they are right?

As per GOL Alliances, GOL does have an interline agreement with Aerolineas Argentina, so baggage should be able to be checked in all the way to BA.
