Baggage loaded on wrong plane

A funny thing happened on QF510 this morning. Everyone were onboard and the front door already closed. Then came the announcement that said: "we just realised that we have no bags on this plane as they were all been loaded on the plane next to us by mistake". I must say most pax took it with good humour while watching the bags being transferred from the 767 next to us. After 25 minutes delay we were up in the air.
I do have to wonder how a mistake like that can happen, especially when 2 different types of planes were involved (737 & 767) and there was no last minute aircraft change.

Sounds like someone made a mistake and none of their colleagues noticed either since there's usually more than one person loading baggage.

This sort of thing must happen a bit.

Early Saturday morning flight out of JFK on VX to LAX .....September 20 last year
We were in VX 'first' so had a good view of what went down

Departing on one of the twin plane gates at JFK .....two VX 737s on each 'arm' ... crew boards .... nearly all passengers board - well settled in.
Bit of commotion up front.

Up shot was crew and passenger are all on the wrong plane - everyone deplaned - switched .......still landed at LAX on time. All handled well and in good humour in the end.
