I've booked QF codeshare flights on EK-operated flights to CDG via DBX from SYD.

As a Qf Gold, what is my checked baggage allowance? And cabin baggage?

My experience is that EK recognise QF status baggage benefits - that is over and above the checked baggage allowance of your travel class, which you haven't disclosed.

Well, your starting point is here:

Allowances for Qantas Frequent Flyers

Some Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Club members are entitled to an additional non ticketed checked baggage allowance. This allowance applies to travel on:
  • [...]
  • Emirates operated flights between and within Europe, The Middle East, North Africa, Asia, New Zealand and Australia when booked with either a QF or EK flight number on your ticket.

Check your ticket - the correct allowance will be shown there.
Hand baggage is as per the operating carrier's rules

I flew EK recently as QFF SG and received 46kg total baggage allowance. This compared with the rest of the traveling party who had 30kg each.

can anyone help me with the baggagr allowance for a QFF WP or SG status on an EK ticketed flight?

It will be the same as with Qantas flights, but not all of the Emirates network. From the T&C's: additional allowances will also apply to Emirates operated ("EK") flights between and within Europe, The Middle East, North Africa and Asia, and Australia when travelling under either QF or EK flight numbers.

Notable exceptions there are North/South America as well as South Africa. This caught out one of my colleagues recently who was travelling SYD<>DXB<>JNB.

interesting. This ticket is to TLV and back from BUD, I wonder if TLV is an exemption too. (as elal is qfs partner there)
pretty much the extra allowance isn't showing In the emirates app for the booking

I wouldn't pay any attention to that, I think that's just the ticket allowance, it doesn't take into consideration extra FF allowances.

Even the QF site doesn't show the extra allowance on it's MMB site (my HNL-SYD booking in Y is showing 1 piece, but I get 3 as WP).

That said I am booked DXB-CPT (I am not flying to DXB on QF or EK and it's on a different booking) and I can select seats for free, but technically my status should not be recognised on this route. I'm thinking this is just an ex-AU exclusion (same goes for the lounges). I think their system itself isn't coded to exclude the Americas & South Africa from the agreement - must be done manually at AU ports.

Slightly different, but we flew on EK metal MEL-DXB recently on QF code share in business. As a WP I got 60kg, and my hubby got 56kg as an LTG. We used 115.6kg of our allowance, which was commented on as "very efficient" by the check in operator! We were taking a lot of household items to Seat Son, who lives in Dubai.

This did not appear on our tickets, which suggested we would each have 40kg. As it mattered a lot to us, I read up all the baggage details I could find on the QF web site and even took screen shots in case I had to argue, but in the end it wasn't needed.

I would expect it should be similar for you?

Just reviving this thread:

To travel in Y, SYD to DUS and return on EK metal, on QF codeshare, as WP what’s the allowance?

As a matter of interest does QF emerald get more baggage allowance when travelling in Y with other OW carriers?

Can you be more specific on this question? Emirates is not a Oneworld carrier and any reference to OneWorld Emerald does not apply. Qantas frequent fliers receive luggage allowances on Emirates flights according to the Qantas Frequent Flyer rules as long as they are booked on QF flight codes (codeshare), but will not receive anything above the ticketed amount if booked as EK-marketed flights. Note that Qantas codeshares do not cover every possible Emirates route - but DUS should be okay.

For Emirates:

Note : "Extra checked baggage allowance" listed for Silver and higher. Generally for platinum it's 20kg over the amount listed on the ticket. Check your ticket for the base amount.
