Hi, We have a one way booking in September Washington DC to Denver via Chicago using Qantas FF Points.

Trying to work out if we still get a free baggage allowance for both of us. Eticket has only 15kg for myself (Qantas Gold / Oneworld Sapphire Baggage Allowance). Wife has nothing, Qantas Bronze.

AA Website Checked Baggage Policy 1st and 2nd checked bags are complimentary for oneworld Sapphire members.

Is anyone in the know if we will have the AA Allowance of 2 checked bags or only the Oneworld 15kg allowance? Also many moons ago it used to be all passengers on the same ticket got the same allowance, is still the case?

Thanks in Advance.

Kevin

You'll definitely get the oneworld Sapphire allowance which is certainly much more than 15kg (15kg is the additional allowance for Sapphire, over and above whatever the airline offers).

From memory, yes, your companion will also get the Sapphire allowance but probably best not to rely on it.

You'll receive 2pc 23kg per piece. The same PNR allowance for other non status pax I find is a bit hit and miss.
