Hi,
New to AFF forums so forgive me if this is a stupid question or if it has been answered previously. I am travelling with Qantas from AKL-BNE, then BNE-CNS on the same day/same ticket. If I have upgraded the international leg (AKL-BNE) to a business class seat with 40kgs baggage, will that increase in baggage allowance be applied to the domestic (BNE-CNS) leg also? Obviously I wouldn't have a business class seat for that flight, but it's the increased baggage allowance I'm needing.
Thanks!

Theoretically you should get the 40 kg for the entire journey AKL/xBNE/CNS but the ticket will still have the original 30kg allowance on both sectors AKL/xBNE/CNS as it isn't reissued just because you did a points upgrade so the CSA might have to 'waive' the other 10 kgs you're entitled to.

Just explain to them that you did a points upgrade to J so the ticket won't reflect the 40 kgs you're entitled to.
