I am traveling to the US in July and taking a bicycle. I am laying over in Sydney for 3 days. does anyone know if there is a place at the airport that I can leave the bike? It will be properly packaged but I want to take the train into the CBD and the bike will be an issue.

Not exactly what you're after, but there are a bunch of backpacker services around central station that hold luggage.
I've not used them for anything as large as a bike bit you might be lucky.
Wish I could give you something more specific, but I remember there being 5 or 6 in the area last time I googled it.
