Back to the air, back to the lounge? (QC Melb)

Hi all

I am a silver & Club type. Tomorrow flying from MEL to PER for first time since COVID. Online seems to indicate Biz lounge is open, but sadly I am flying economy. Seems that I can access Biz lounge "depending on numbers". Anyone got any experience with this? Numbers were bad before COVID in domestic lounge at MEL so I'm not sure what to expect. TIA.

I was in there on Friday last week and it was so-so capacity wise so I think you might be OK.

Lots of our staff who are QF Gold have had no issue getting into the Business Lounge in MEL 1.5 weeks ago.... but flights have been ramping up considerably since then.

I suspect you should be ok, fingers crossed for you.

A week ago I didn't see anyone being turned away and there seemed ample seats and space inside, so I also think you'll be ok.

Thank you very much everyone. I am going to Perth because my dear dad is very unwell, so a nice relaxing lounge visit prior to boarding would be better than a scramble. Hope it comes off.

Last time I flew that route the plane was full of partially dressed, heaviy -drinking outlaw motorcycle club members. LOL

Well after the weekend in Perth, thankfully there is one less of those types to bother you once you arrive....

My parents who are Points Club QC members had no issues accessing the J lounge in MEL last Friday in the AM peak (also with a guest travelling on the same flight).
