I'm flying from Nice soon in BA economy (and BA flight number). I'm OW Emerald with QF. The BA site says their lounge is a "third party lounge" - will I still have oneworld lounge access rights? Cheers.

What about general third party lounges or lounges that are operated on behalf of a member airline.

For example, if I was flying AA from Mexico to Miami, I could obviously use the AA lounge. But what about the Aero Mexico Lounge that, according to the oneworld website, is "Operated by a third party on behalf of: LAN".

oneworld Emeralds can access any oneworld lounge but I'm not sure of the rules governing third party lounges. The oneworld website says "A non-affiliated third party may operate some lounges on behalf of the individual airline. Access to some lounges operated by third-parties on behalf of oneworld member airlines may be restricted at some times."

I'm specifically looking at a port where the lounge of the airline I'm flying on doesn't have showers, but a third party lounge (operated on behalf of another oneworld airline) does and I'd like to use it for that reason.

Having flown NCE-LHR several times, I can verify that you will get access to the lounge in NCE.

Interesting, cos my experience is that OW status does not get you into the BA "third party lounge" at CDG when flying BA economy from CDG to LHR. In that case it is an Air France lounge.

I've never flown out of CDG, but at BA partner lounges at NCE, WAW, SOF and KBP I have been granted access flying Y on BA.

If it's a BA partner lounge and you're flying BA, I don't see any reason why a passenger wouldn't have access.

Access to a partner lounge when flying another oneworld airline doesn't seem so clear cut.
