It was announced around 1400 GMT today that settlement has been reached between the TGWU and BA and that the strikes have been called off.

The best bet for the latest situation is to visit BA's website.

Reason seems to have prevailed, though it remains to be seen at what cost.

Unfortunately, due to the late reinstatement of flights, we will be unable to provide full catering on some of our flights from London Heathrow on Tuesday January 30 and Wednesday January 31. We will offer a full bar and in-flight retail service onboard. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Customers booked to travel on flights departing London Heathrow without full catering will be offered vouchers at check-in that they can redeem in retail outlets in the terminals.

Flights to and from London Gatwick will be fully catered.
