BA pilots vote to strike

I have three short intraeuropean BA flights on 8 and 11 September (outside the strike dates), but this morning I received emails from BA saying that my flights were cancelled and I could rebook them. In manage my booking it says that the flights "may be affected" but not cancelled and offers me the opportunity to rebook. On experflyer the flights are not cancelled, although the same flights on 9 and 10 September show "cancelled" in EF.
Should I do anything? I could understand that BA expects problems on the 11 if their aircraft are not positioned at the right airports, but what about the 8?
Anyone else receive a cancellation email even if their flight is before the strike?

Reading on FT it seems lots of people have received cancellation emails for 8 September for flights which are not cancelled. Might be a way for BA to get people to cancel/rebook their flights to give BA some room to reaccommodate PAX originally booked on 9-10 September.
I won't do anything as long as the flights don't show as cancelled. For all I know BA might avert the strike at the last minute anyway.

We are fortunate as have already taken 2 of the 3 BA flights this trip. The third is on 22/9 so should be safe.
I have a couple of flights on 22/9 (MAN-LHR-OTP in J), but as you say, hopefully they will operate as per schedule.

BTW, I checked Ryanair, just in case, and direct flights can be had STN-OTP for GBP 22. Maybe I should have just booked Ryanair and saved heaps.

Not a mileage run by any chance? OTP has recently been popular for that.

No, actually I'm on my way to DXB, connecting with Fly Dubai. Just a cost-effective way to do it, and at the same time get a couple of BA flights towards the four needed to renew my BAEC Gold status (I already have the TP's). And, I do like Bucharest.

We were to fly on 2 x BA flights on 9th September; VCE - LHR, connecting to LHR - GVA as part of our One World Award holiday. Received emails from BA and updates from QF via the app. Qantas would not rebook us on non-partner flights, but offered alternate travel dates (that do not work for us). So we bought separate tickets with Lufthansa (J class), and claimed on travel insurance (via my ANZ credit card). Looking good for coverage, having to pay only the excess $250.00

The BBC is reporting that the Pilots have accepted an 11.5% increase over 3 years ending the threat of strike action in this long running dispute.

The BA pilots don't seem to have got much for their strike, which was quite costly for BA and inconvenienced many pax. Perhaps the Jetstar pilots should take note.
