Just had a quick question about the BA T5 lounges.

We're spending five hours in LHR tomorrow prior to leaving for DXB. Is it necessary to call ahead a book for time in the Elemis spa? I can't seem to find any information about it on BA.com.

I am not aware of being able to pre-book the spa.

iirc, it is only available to those travelling in business or 1st, so be aware if you are travelling in economy

Thanks Dave, travelling J, so fingers crossed. Hopefully five hours should be enough time, will report back on how it goes. :)

So we arrived five hours prior to our connecting flight and went straight to the Galleries South Elemis spa reception - and were told the first available slot was exactly one hour prior to our departure, or too late for us to use it.

Also she mentioned they only take booking at reception and not prior - how early must people get to the airport simply to get a massage? Bit of a disappointment, and doesn't feel like it really amounts to the advertised lounge benefit if there's such limited circumstances in which it can be used.

Otherwise, we are quite liking the BA lounge. Nice improvement from the Admirals Club :)
