Having not travelled on BA before, I am interested in others experiences on how often BA change the scheduled aircraft for their domestic flights.

I am on a service between NCL and LHR next month, and at this stage the 321 looks fairly empty. Would BA swap this to a 320/319 based on loads, or may it be a case of people not paying the fees to select seats?

At this stage we are in seats that look ideal on the 321, but nothing overly special for the 320/319.

I wouldn't rely on the seatmap to give any indication of whether the flight is full or not, as only BA Silver and Gold members can select seats at the time of booking (even for J!)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I was given the option to pay for my seat at time of booking.

I am also using Expert Flyer to give me a bit of an idea.

Should have said, BA Silver and Gold can select seats for free (and OW equiv) and others have to pay, which means most seats are un-allocated until check-in.
