AY A330s scheduled for QF25/26 SYD-HND from NW27

Just got an alert from AwardWallet that my seat allocation for an existing booking for later in the year has changed from 4K to 4L.

It appears Qantas will use the Finnair A330 config on QF25/26 during the Northern Winter 2026-27 schedule commencing late October. QF59/60 is still showing the QF A330 config.

Presumably QF will resume selling PE on this route also, but beware of the awfully tight AY seats!

Great news for those who like the AY J seat, or want to fly PE. Bad news for anyone who wants inflight wifi!

Just got notified of a change for my QF26 on Jan 10th
Didn't seem to be any real change though, so wondered what it was

Thought it was just a 5 min departure time change, but a little more than that.

Had to update my seat selection given Row 60 is no longer the last row in Y.

On one hand AY seats - YAY
on the other hand - No wifi just as the almost all the 330 fleet rolls it out.

same - looks like also changed the zoning of the premium seating. Both legs here. Which couple travelling would prefer the center 4 seats vs the 2 window/aisle combo. Weird

Could also be the reported new 333 (reported to be ex AY OH-LTN which last few a commercial service in Nov 2025 and positioned back to HEL all white in late April)

Yep. Annoying and dumb IMHO.

Those middle seats have a couple of extra inches of legroom over the side pairs…

31A/C and 31J/L have exceptional legroom (if you can nab them at T-80) but the fold away tray table arrangement is diabolical. The IFE screen is on the bulkhead but 31E is a bassinet seat.
