I have been to 5 GPs so far, 3 in Melbourne and 2 in Germany. They were all phenomenal experiences, but none more so than Nurburgring 2009 which was Mark Webber's first win. I had a feeling about that weekend...we were in Greece at the time and despite my desire to go, it was only 4 days before the race we decided to go to Germany. We spent an absolutely ridiculous amount of money (race ticket: $750 on two race day tickets, for a start...) but it was so worth it on every level and an experience I will never, ever forget.
F1 means a lot to me and I truly believe it is the most incredible, electric sport on the planet...the way it moves from country to country, continent to continent almost every week is a mammoth logistical effort. All just to go racing. But then, it's more than just racing - it's a battle of management, ingenuity, wit and courage. The fact that one team spends $60,000,000 to build a car is amazing. That another spends $300,000,000 to seek just a few hundredths of a second in speed over a rival is nothing short of extraordinary. But that's all you need in Formula 1 - that little bit more. It can get you a hell of a long way - if someone doesn't crash in to you first!
