I was looking at a cruise through avoyatravel.com. Very good deal, and they contacted me immediately from USA by phone when I expressed my interest on online. Has anyone had any experience with them, there are mixed reviews online.

They used to be called Americas Vacation Centre - changed names a couple of years ago - and I booked a HAL Caribbean cruise with AVC in 2009 - no problems, great service and no credit card surcharge. I think Avoya has some affiliation directly or indirectly with Amex.

I get their emails - I think it depends on the actual cruise as anything I have been interested in is no cheaper than I can find elsewhere. Remember that a number of cruise lines will not let you use a non-Australian agent to book (especially on line). Vacations to Go used to have a list of these.

I ended up booking Royal Caribbean for Alaska in May through agent in Oz. Starting to rack up nights through their loyalty program.

Yeah, that's the way they get you in. The loyalty programs are almost as bad as FF ones
