Im finally planning our Scotland trip, we depart next week, and as we're departing via Manchester, Mr Denali has instructed me to book the Runway Visitor Park so we can do the Concorde tour

I noticed yesterday that during our travels we will be passing the National Museum of Flight but no plans to visit but they also have a Condorde

Well worth it!



There is also a Concorde at Brooklands.



However the best one is at Sinsheim in Germany, they also have a Tupolev Tu 144

On display at Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum, the Bristol Sycamore was the first all-British designed helicopter to fly.

Duxford near Cambridge also has a Concorde but not sure if you are going that far south

Visit Imperial War Museum Duxford for a huge day out. See Spitfires take to the skies from the airfield where they first flew, get up close to gigantic aircraft and walk in the footsteps of the men and women who served here.

A note today to the effect that the Temora museum is winding back the aircraft that are being flown. In particular the jets (Meteor, Vampire, Dragonfly and Canberra) are going to disappear from the flying displays. I know that their rarity makes them extremely difficult to keep in the air, but on the other hand, they were, for me at least, the main attraction.

When the museum had the large private sponsorship it could pursue the jets but now under RAAF ownership the brass will not allow this indulgence.

Anyone been to Blenheim (Marlborough airport) aviation museum in NZ? Mate has been telling me that it is probably "my kinda place".

Which makes me wonder why they ever got into bed with the RAAF in the first place.

David Lowey probably tired of forking out the money. Maybe a new benefactor can/has been found. I was shown yesterday that the jets are returning to Temora. I don’t know if they will still be kept flying. Hopefully.

A few from the aviation museum hall in Auckland NZ. It's worth a visit if in the area.

Deutches Museum in Munich is not strictly an aviation museum, however, about one third is dedicated to aviation.

It includes an area with cross-sections of various several Airbus types and their engines.











There’s also a cross section of a retired Lufthansa 747 and early engines.

Deutches Museum also has an extensive display on ATC and the principles of flight.

There’s also a wide range of GA aircraft.









Military and war bird enthusiasts will also enjoy the displays. Just mind the radiation.



The A320 display show just how much wiring runs from the flight deck to the control surfaces and other parts of the plane.











And there’s a quick reference guide to wingtips.

Nice visit to the RAAF Williamstown museum by Newcastle after a great day at the Warbirds airshow at Scone.
