OK friends, do you know what is the changes / cancellations policy for tickets redeemed with Lifemiles?

$150 for changes, and $50-200 for cancellations.

Here’s a comprehensive list of changes / cancellations on different airline posted by OMAAT.

I just got an email from SQ about a change of flight bookings with LM. The difference is only an arrival time of 5 minutes later.

I clicked the ACCEPT button, and it said I'd be sent a new e-ticket, but nothing arrived.

I guess this means I have to call LM and ask them to re-issue the ticket (I have already done this once with another change to this booking, but it was a bigger change than 5 minutes).

Is that right?SQ change.png

Yes you MUST call LM to reissue e tickets even for a 5 mins schedule change...they do it quickly and I have received the new e tickets whilst still on the phone

I'm confused...why is SQ sending you this? I guess they are part of the connecting itinerary?

Can you manage your booking on the SQ site and check the status of that sector on your eTicket there?

The first flight is SQ, and the second one is TK. Yes, the update is showing in the SQ app.

I just got through to LM fairly quickly and got them to reissue the e-ticket. I have such little trust in LM that I want to cover all my bases!

Can you tell me which number you rang & a rough time- I recently had to do this & ended up calling the UK number. I got success but the call was transferred a few times to get the right person to do the re-issue

‭US Number: +1 (866) 919-0081‬
then 2 for Engish
then 3 for LM department

I recently did an award booking on Lifemiles.
I seem to recall previously when I did so, I received an email with the booking details/ticket number etc.
However with this booking, I only received an email with the booking reference.
Going on the Thai website, I could log in/ manage booking, and see a ticket number, but I cannot seem to find any ticket number on the Lifemiles site at all, only the booking reference with flight timing details.

That’s normal! I’ve usually only had the confirmation email with booking reference. And then had to confirm via the operating carrier’s website for ticket numbers etc.

what would be the best way to keep track of flight time changes?
with my lifemiles booking on Thai, I don't expect Thai will be sending me notifications?
I tried to add my contact details on the Thai website, but that field is locked.

I use the Thai app, which I check weekly.

I was in your situation & got an email from Thai- I assume they got the email from Lifemiles as I was not a Thai member

I had some changes to a lufthansa flight, issued by LM. LH sent me the schedule change notification, and I called LM to reissue the ticket

IIRC someone else reported something similar, the operating carrier sent an email notifying of changes, which you can the. follow up with LM.

LM seems to transmit the contact details directly to the operating carrier.

That, plus, check weekly as mentioned above!

does the app tell you something has changed? or do you have to compare and check the flight times?

I’m not sure if they notify you as there hasn’t been a change to my Thai booking as yet, but it’s a quick and easy way to view the details.

I have another LM booking with EVA that had a 5 minute schedule change and that was flagged for attention on their app, whereas I hadn’t recieved any email notification about it.

Hi all, anyone have an update on the screenshot booking method? I recall vaguely somewhere that said this method of booking is no more, but I just can't find it at the moment.

I can see an itinerary on Thai Airways through Aeroplan from Paris to Hong Kong via Bangkok but it just doesn't show up on Aeroplan (individual legs do, and the connection time is less than 8 hours). Is phoning up a reliable solution? Need to purchase points first given the recent sale, but don't want to buy and then find out that I can't use them!
