anyone managed to redeem Asiana seats previously? trying to redeem from icn/hnd to syd
using my last 40k miles (economy) there are seats available but when the option selected it errored out.. does that means its a phantom seat ?

Yes! A friend of mine redeemed about 8 weeks ago for travel in early December.

I think the issue you describe is quite widespread. Don’t know the solution. You could try calling LM. I got through in anout 3 minutes the other day!

Yes it probably means phantom seat.

When trying to book SYD-ICN few months ago for Jan (this month) the website showed multiple dates available but I got an error each time. Finally I gave up and called LM, apparently there was just one day in all of Jan that had “real” availability. Luckily that date worked for us and I was able to book.

I have Lifemiles points which I would like to use for a flight booking.
After I select the flight, in the billing information, it seems that the postcode only allows 5-digit.
What should I do in this case for AU postcode being only 4-digit?

Thanks. I just got in touch with their Live Chat and advised me to put 0 in the beginning instead. Probably does not really matter at the front or at the end (?)

Also, what should I put under "Personal Identification Number" ? It seems to be a mandatory field also

yep you are right. I managed to redeem the points for a flight + bit of USD cash (pending in 28D still).

I can see my points reduced and got the confirmation email with booking reference number.
However, the email does not have link or attachment to the ticket PDF / webpage?
Does Avianca not send ticket document, or will it come later?

I would like to also know the baggage allowance etc (which I am hoping to be able to see it in the ticket if they send it).. this is for ANA flight redemption. Does it mean it will follow ANA baggage policy?

I don’t ever recall getting a ticket from LM, except when doing the manual ‘screenshot’ bookings. Which is years ago now.

You should get an itinerary, and should be able to go to the manage booking function of the operating carrier.

I contacted their live chat and they sent me the ticket PDF. Not sure if they would send it anyway even if I did not ask.

So when does Singapore Airlines releases Business class seats for Lifemiles redemption? There were a few at the end of last year but I did not need to fly.

Depends on the route. Nothing I can see in J ex Perth, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane but if I search SQ J to KUL or CGK I do see award availability
