One of the Crossroads people, had also visited the Picton Hotel 3x (mostly pokie room)

And they (or another person)
Had also visited The Star casino

Trying not to jump the gun....possibly an existing case has visited the Star casino which is near the CBD of Sydney I think

Well it made its way via community transmission into the CBD then... over a week ago.... QLD has its hands on the buzzer, just warning everyone!

"Star Entertainment Group said the casino was cleaned daily, and had not been shut down"

- Lets hope Star cleaners are doing a VERY VERY VERY VERY good clean daily since they have refused to shut down......

I wonder if AP is going to let us know her thinking on this. What is the threshold where she closes the border again?

Regional Vic is already about +15-+20 (to yesterday’s data), NSW seems to be about +20 (totodays data), and ACT is about 5(to yesterday’s data).....sigh.

And yet official figures are NSW +14 and ACT 0. You are posting your "guess " numbers when public numbers are available.

We will see how your guess goes for Regional Vic. And Vic does publish each day the figures for each LGA.

Haha lol....I like your counting.

using the source News - 2020 media releases from NSW Health of NsW health daily COVID media releases.

8/7 1 case
9/7 2 cases
10/7 1 case
11/7 2 cases
12/7 3 cases
13/7 10 cases

equals 19.......I stand by my recollection of “about 20”

edit: and if I misread some, I really don’t give a care to the detail to that minutia At this point in time on that....if it’s near/ almost /under/about/less than 20.......the bigger picture is NSW is on the verge of lockdown.

2nd edit: and I feel ACT will tell you (if they wanted to) that it is not zero cases since Melbourne lockdown.

Forget just focusing on Qld.

i think NsW will be doing a Vic- seeking assistance to “self-isolate”.

The emerging breadth is making it almost a complete case.

Say 500 patron per day at Crossroads (they quote about 600on 3/7 alone)
3 to 10 July is 7 days. 3500 patrons (yes there would be some duplication Ie repeat customers).

the movement of 3500 patrons since they visit crossroads (who knows?) has already reached to near the CBD (Casino), the next door suburb (gym) And another hotel (Picton).

Interestingly, according to NSW Health figures, on the 22nd June a man tested positive in South Western Sydney. The only comment was that the source of the infection was being investigated.

And the fact we are talking about a week ago as well would have them the most worried, that all this has already happened.... And also Sydney has been partying like it was the year 2000 judging by all the parties going on so it may be spreading more quickly than ideal....

The testing procedures at Crossroads seem less than ideal with reported 4 hour waits - I'm sure some people saw that and ditched....

Though if you want to use the Melbourne lockdown as your baseline (which was not clear in your first post), measures took effect on the 9th, and as numbers are for the previous day your count should start from the 10th.

But yes NSW will I assume be considering additional localised control measures. Locking all of NSW down now I think unlikely just yet. Sydneywide gathering limits may need reviewing though.

Unfortunately it is not a good news day for NSW with the hotels record keeping and socially distancing proceedures being called into question...

NSW CHO also urgently calling for testing rates across the city to increase. She wants 20K tests a day now.
Interestingly Chant also telling people to use masks in line with the VIC advice (when you can't socially distance with 1.5m use a mask).

Crossroads cases have now increased to 21 (linked to hotel outbreak). They are trying to open another clinic near the pub due to the huge wait times.

BREAKING
'Time for warnings has passed': Crossroads Hotel investigated over potential breach

Claims that some people who had attended the Crossroads Hotel had not had their details recorded by the pub were "concerning" and would form part of the investigation, Acting Commissioner Tony Cooke said.

Cooke said investigations were ongoing into potential breaches by the Crossroads Hotel and the Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club in Bellevue Hill, after social distancing concerns were raised at a trial rugby match on Saturday.
