Hi all,
Took out the Australia Post travel insurance predominantly for the rental car excess cover while stopping over in Perth enroute from Brisbane to Paraburdoo. The email reply to my query was just a cut and paste from their terms and conditions. The travel insurance terms and conditions state the cover includes 4WDs but excludes unsealed roads. Not very helpful if we were to rely on it up in the Pilbara. I am used to insurance covering gazetted or trafficable roads, regardless of road surface. What are others' experiences? Does anyone know any that cover dirt/gravel roads?

Thanks.

TID may or may not?
Dirt is unsealed..... Had the same issue in Tassie.
Used 4wd hired in Alice Springs Britz excess reduction

Came across the dirt road exclusion when we were in NZ. At that time World Care travel insurance let you just take the policy sections that you wanted. I remember I also had to clarify whether the policy covered motorhomes
