1. I need to travel Perth-Frankfurt (ultimately Nuremburg) Feb 1 2007 - returning Feb 4.
2. Currently QFF Gold. I am looking at CX Business class via London. $5816 + Taxes
3. However, LH also has great fares. $5047 + T (Per-BKK-FRA-Nuremeburg)
4. I will more than re-qualify QFF Gold - and be on the way to Platinum.
5. Is it worth joining a SA FF programme and get a quicker, more direct flight to and from Germany ? As the fare is via BKK - I guess the first sector will be TG.

Or - do I consolidate with QFF ?

Thanks GCD

If you go with CX how will you get between Frankfurt and Nuremberg? A separate air ticket for such a short trip may be risky (else costly to buy a flexible one).

PER-BKK-FRA-NRN return in LH business class is enough for *Silver status starting from scratch.

Train for the last segment is fast and frequent.
Else, taking Lufthansa with a Frankfurt-Nuremburg connection.
