"A Sydney man is paying $123,000 to be the first person to buy a seat on the first commercial flight of the world's largest airliner, the Airbus A380.
The first class ticket, one-way from Singapore to Sydney, with Singapore Airlines, was sold at a charity auction that continues to fill the remaining 520 or so seats on the October 24 flight.
The successful bidder, Julian Hayward, said the flight was up there with the maiden commercial voyages of the 747 and Concorde."
