Hi All,

In June i will be heading from Adelaide to the US and am looking to maximize this trip in terms of SC's and FF points. My route is as follows:

ADL - BNE - LAX - LAS -(Drive via sedona) - PHX - DEN - SFO - LAX - BNE - ADL

I will likely be flying VA on the ADL - BNE - LAX and LAX - BNE - ADL routes as the BNE-LAX flight schedule is friendly and i will use my Velocity points and fathers status (via family pooling) to upgrade to business class.

With US joining AA does that provide greater options for me? One of the AFF members pointed out the one month AA membership which would grant me access to all the lounges in my US legs which sounds ideal. ive traditionally flown Southwest or Airtran in the past but have not seen any one get points rich on here.

Happy for any feedback. thanks team.
