Decided to try the Pearl Assist at AUH and wanted to share (helps that I used a visa gift card to pay so not out of my pocket).

Now, I know we could handle the transit, because signage is good and even transferring terminals is easy (we went T1 to T3), but knowing I had a 14hr flight and if I didnt sleep (which I did, thankfully), I would have had a meltdown of some sort (lights and crowds) so preferred to be led like sheep.

On exiting the plane, met by staff with ipad with our name and quickly led through transit, security (bumped to front of queue) and delivered to the applicable lounge. We were flying J but as we are VA WP, was taken to First Class lounge. Later, picked up at the lounge and walked to gate, through additional gate security check (bumped to front) and hand delivered to the plane. Was asked if we wanted to stop anywhere for duty free.

Overall, not something i would do all the time but if you have older family travelling, absolutely would do this for them. Very friendly staff. It was nice not to have to think and just follow to where we had to go.

They also offer arrivals clearance assistance and departure.
