6months AMS, 3months MVD. In that order, so better to fly west. 2pax, J.

The Lufthansa and Swiss things, I suspect only work for North America: they talk about the US leg being to places like JFK. Getting down south from there is a little painful, compared to the LHR/BAI options which less cheap flights can do.

Anyone got any words of wisdom? the Lufthansa/Swiss prices still look to be sub $10k which is pretty good. Last time I did this it was slopers on almost every flight, rather than a lie-flat but thats a whinge: if money is the question, sloping is fine.

If anyone has a 2-for-1 or 'partner cheaper' deal I'd love to know.

Cheapish one way ticket to JNB. CX has some deals on PEY from the "correct places" in SE Asia. Or use miles with QF. OW on QF is NOT a good idea financially. OTOH RT is a one year ticket. Pay your money to your favorite airline. Just be aware of when you pay too much.

RTW DONE4 ex JNB connecting JNB-LHR-AMS-xx_-(MIA/MAX)-MVD-SCL-(SYD/AKL)-BNE-xx_-JNB
One year ticket. Unlikely to beat the price in business.

Happy wandering
