Just got this through Oz-Spotters, pity I live in Perth but seems like a great opportunity for you Brisbane based people 
'As some of you may be aware Skywest Airlines is about to commence operations
of the ATR 72 on behalf of Virgin Australia.
The first two aircraft (FVH & FVI) have been in the country for a while and
are currently being used on route proving and training flights.
This Thursday, 29th September, Skywest has to undertake an important part of
our approval from CASA to operate the aircraft with paying passengers on
board by conducting an evacuation demonstration.
We require up to 40 people to participate in this and would welcome any of
you (and friends/family) that are available on the day.
Basically the day commences with a briefing at 10am at the 5 Star Aviation /
Strategic hanger in Brisbane with the first group finished by around 12pm
and the second group by around 1pm. It's also a great opportunity to see
inside one of these new aircraft before the general public!

At this stage the proving flight is planned for the afternoon and evening of
Tuesday 4th October. Seats on the proving flight are very limited and whilst
we cannot guarantee seats those that participate in the evacuation
demonstration will be given preference.'
